Here is a great video of legendary woodworker James Krenov (1920 – 2009) explaining his approach to shaping handplane bodies and the desirable qualities one wants in a plane. As his eye sight failed him, he continued to make planes by touch until the spring of 2009. The video is from a September 2007 interview with David Heim of FineWoodworking.com
