Again, this month’s meeting had an awesome Show-and-Tell of members projects.   Being able to see, touch, and discuss the pros and cons of various techniques, woods and finishes used is one of the hallmarks  of our monthly meetings.  The growth of Show-and-Tell is a testament to the fact that we are being motivated by seeing what other members are doing.  Keep those projects coming!

Membership:  If you are considering joining our guild, the dues are prorated so membership  for the remainder of the year is only $15.  Membership in the guild is such a bargain when you consider the opportunity you have to rub shoulders with so many fine woodworker who are approachable and willing to answer your questions.

Presentation:   John Freeland’s presentation on “How Motors Operate” by anyone’s standards was excellent!  In case you didn’t know, John is an electrical engineer and his expertise in this field really showed.  Being knowledgeable is only half the battle.  The other half is being able to keep the groups’ attention when so many of us come from different backgrounds, is truly a talent!  John’s  presentation on DC, Signal and Three Phase motors was very informative.  Thanks again John!

Hope to see all of you and some new faces next month!
