“Roy Wall, Guild President, opened the annual picnic by warmly welcoming everyone and expressing gratitude to Bob Pressley for his tireless efforts in preparing the pulled pork and hot dogs. Roy also extended thanks to all attendees for contributing delicious food, particularly highlighting the pies and homemade ice cream.

During the gathering, Roy shared the somber news that our beloved Bill Akers (affectionately known as ‘The Admiral’) had passed away. Unfortunately, details about memorial services are still unknown. A newsletter will be sent to guild members once more information becomes available. Bill Akers, an original guild member and the sole secretary the guild has ever had, lived a life dedicated to serving others. His absence will be deeply felt.”

Due to the picnic, there was no PHILS FINDS or SHOW and TELL. Thank you, Bob Pressley, for also bringing your 1914 Model T for all to see and appreciate.

Join us in July when we have a presentation from Harvey Woodworking Tools. See you then!
