August 2022 Meeting Highlights

NEWS

Due to the number of presenters for the program the news, tips and Phil’s Finds portions of the meeting were skipped in order to ensure there was enough time to complete the program and get through show and tell.

2022 Membership Dues

Dues for 2022 are now only $10.00 for the remainder of the year. We will start collecting for the 2023 dues in November at which time the dues will once again only be $20.00 for the year. If you haven’t had your picture taken for our membership directory, please see Roy Wall or Phil Morgan at a future meeting.

PROGRAM

This month’s presentation was on 8 different types of finishes.

In this month’s program we had eight of our members do a quick 5-to-10-minute talk on their favorite or go-to finish. Dale Kunz talked about Danish oil and wax, Dave Clark discussed Sutherland Welles Tongue Oil (https://www.sutherlandwelles.com/), Jay Helland presented hard wax oil, Doris Fuller discussed wipe on polly, Ben Simmons provided several examples of O.B.s shine Juice, Mike McReynolds presented on how to use CA glue, Phil Morgan presented on spray on polly and Larry McFerrin presented on using pre-catalyzed lacquer. SHOW AND TELL

The members once again brought is some fabulous creations for show and tell and showed us all just what a talented membership we have. We are very blessed to be in the company of so many talented men and women. Some of their work can be viewed here.
